Hello

Bumble & Willow started back in 2016 when I was on maternity with my 3rd son Jacob.  I've always loved making things since being a little girl, spending hours with my dad in his shed building or on the kitchen table getting crafty and I've often made personalised gifts for friends and family. One day after so many people saying i should sell what I make,  I thought why not and so Bumble and Willow was born.

The name is random - I went with two words I liked the sound of and that was pretty much my thought process for a business name! With hindsight I perhaps should have thought it through more for marketing & logos and all of that side of a business but hey the name has stuck and I wouldn't want to be known as anything else now!

A little about me then, I’m 40 Something, have lived in Bolton all my life with a spell living away at university. I've been married for 15 years now to my husband who runs a successful recruitment company and between us we are raising 3 boys. The eldest has hit his teenage years and the youngest is a toddler with one in the middle so its pretty manic most days at Bumble & Willow HQ!

 

So like I said I've been running B&W since 2016. The first items sold were my Hero hand painted peg doll Fathers day frames which were a hit and so from there I introduced more personalised frames and Peg dolls sold separately. I love trying new techniques and new ideas so who knows what other items I will be selling in the future.

There's just me at B&W at the moment, I'm the designer, developer, maker, accountant, Marketeer, Packer and everything else it takes to run a small business and I am also a perfectionist, every order I make has the care and attention as if it was my very first , I pride myself on the quality and if I’m not happy, it doesn't leave the house until I am.
